Pastor's Desk
Ray began his ministry at OFC November 2008. Orange First is his sixth pastorate having served churches in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Ray was born and raised in Pasadena Texas so Orange “feels like home”. Ray’s first ministry assignment started in 1982 as the Youth Pastor at Choctaw Church of the Nazarene in Choctaw Oklahoma.
Ray married Vicki (Chevalier) in June of 1982. They have five children. Christa & son-in-law Shane Weaver, Abi, Nathan, Kalah, and C.J. Two grandchildren Nadalee & Gracelyn (parents Shane & Christa)
Ray graduated from Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University) in1982 with a degree in Religion and Psychology. He received a Masters of Christian Ministry from Wayland Baptist University in 2006.
Ray enjoys movies at home with his family, reading, and fishing.
The scripture that Ray chooses to represent his life in Christ is found in Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
